Background
City of Sydney, 2022
The client required a stormwater management plan for construction certificate submission. Additionally, the client requested we find the optimal rainwater reuse size. Based on the above, AMUNA was engaged in designing the site stormwater and appropriately sizing the rainwater tank size. We note there were no local government and BASIX rainwater requirements required for this site.
The Problem
Accurately estimating the rainwater tank volume required for the development.
Our Solution
To approximate the volume of rainwater required for the development, AMUNA gathered the relevant information such as local precipitation data, roof catchment area, and estimated daily tank usage. Once the information was gathered, water balance calculations were then conducted, evaluating how many dry and wet days the tank experienced. As a result, we could accurately estimate the tank size.
Amuna provided the following services:
Design a stormwater management plan
Rainwater tank analysis
Was it approved? Yes.
