Water Cycle Management Plan, On-Site Detention, Water Quality Modelling
The Client proposed a Bus Depot within Singleton Shire Council; AMUNA was engaged to develop the sites stormwater management.
↓
Background
Singleton Shire Council, 2022
The Client came to AMUNA requesting a cost-effective stormwater solution for the proposed Bus Depot.
The Problem
Integrating water quality treatment measures with on-site detention whilst making the design cost-effective.
Our Solution
After analysing the site, architectural drawings and minimum council requirements, AMUNA established that the site required Water Quality treatment measures as well as an On-site Detention System. We identified multiple ways to minimise the cost during the design and modelling process and presented them to the Client. The solution for this project aimed to reduce site excavation and the amount of pit and pipe networks. Additionally, due to the site topography, we saved the Client on an underground and above-ground tank by incorporating the surface detention into the parking features.
Amuna provided the following services:
Hydraulic and hydrological modelling and report of the OSD system.
Water Quality Modelling with associated treatment measures to provide a report.
Water Cycle Management Plan with integrated OSD system and Water Quality treatment measures.
Was it approved? Yes.
