Background
Inner West Council, 2021
The Client conducted a PRE-DA assessment with Council and was issued with some constricting development advice. AMUNA was engaged in helping the Client through the process.
The Problem
Council's PRE-DA advice requested that the wall-to-wall development be reduced to accommodate an open overland flow channel. On-site detention was required for the site.
Our Solution
After reviewing the site and Council policy, we formulated an argument against Council Engineers explaining to them that overland flow was minimal for the development and it could be easily managed within a pit and pipe network. The design was approved and issued with an On-site Detention (OSD) requirement. We managed to avoid an OSD by swapping it with a rainwater tank whilst maintaining accordance with council policy.
Amuna provided the following services:
Stormwater Management Plan
Driveway Access Plan, Swept Path and Long-sections
Was it approved? Yes.
